Terms of Service

The service

BillCurfew is operated by Jarrett Christensen in Orem, Utah, USA. It watches AI API spend and can email you, post to a Slack webhook you saved, or stop a key. It is not a proxy. Prompts do not pass through it. The service is provided as is.

Your account

You need an email and a password of at least 8 characters. You are responsible for the admin and management keys you paste, and you confirm you are allowed to use them. You are also responsible for the charges OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, or any other provider bills you.

Plans and payment

Free includes one provider and one key. It does not ask for a card. Solo is $19 per month, Team is $49 per month, and Agency is $149 per month. Each paid plan includes a 14-day trial. The signup form does not collect a card. Stripe Checkout asks for it on the next step, before the trial starts. We do not store card numbers. The subscription is charged when the 14 days end, then each month, until you cancel.

You can cancel anytime in the Stripe customer portal, linked from Billing. If you cancel during the trial, you will not be charged. Stripe applies sales tax where it is due. Refunds of charges that have already been made are at our discretion. Email hello@billcurfew.com if you want to ask.

Alerts and the kill switch

We check spend about every five minutes. An alert and a kill are best-effort. A loop can spend for up to one poll interval before we notice, and a provider outage, a bad key, or a failed email can mean we do not see the spend or do not stop the key. We are not liable for provider charges, including charges that happen because an alert was late or a kill did not go through.

A manual kill works on every plan, including Free. Auto-kill is on Solo, Team, and Agency only, and it stays off until you turn it on. An OpenAI kill deletes the key. That deletion is permanent. An Anthropic kill sets the key inactive, and an OpenRouter kill disables the key. Those two can be turned back on from the dashboard.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page changes when we do. Continuing to use the account after that date means you accept the update. The Privacy Policy describes the data we store. Utah law applies to these terms and to a dispute about the service.
